MTV was launching their new show Revenge Pranks hosted by DJ Pauly D and Vinny. The team reached out to Offbeat. They were looking to promote the show’s premiere across social media and create buzz around the launch.
So, we designed an Instagram push across the two biggest meme pages to promote clips of the show and drive viewership to the show’s premiere. These posts saw massive traction.
The reason for this success? We utilized our network of authority meme accounts to amplify the MTV clips to a massive audience of comedy content consumers.
In addition to capitalizing on high-authority accounts, we created the impression of organic virality. We released the different video clips in bursts to ensure viewers saw the trend more than once across a few days both in-feed and using IGTV. This gives the impression of virality.
The campaign was 2 posts on @Humor and 2 posts on @Puberty, both comedy-focused meme pages on Instagram with a combined following of over 6M.
Offbeat Media was able to deliver over 2.3+ million views, 4.8M+ total branded content impressions, and over 458K total post engagements.
